Check out the after shots

                                                                    Before
After

The Tooheys New Crew, lead by Paul ‘The Chief’ Harrigan, is a team of tradies doing favours for local communities. They’re on the road looking for building projects that’ll make a difference.  Between Thurs-Sun scores of volunteers worked with The Tooheys New Crew to transform the decrepit Jamberoo RSL building into a usable space for the community (costing about $100,000). They've also fixed up the current Jamberoo wall memorial, I was very excited to see the hall get a new lease on life & it was amazing to see the transformation.
I was very happy to see that the colours that I had selected for the interior and exterior of the hall looked fantastic! So many people from the community band together and lent a helping hand. An amazing effort and a truly wonderful result.

Next Month

I hope that this month's blog posts have given you some great idea's on how to best present your property for the photographer. Don't stress about it to much. I think the best tip I can give you is DE clutter. Look at that in a positive way you've already started packing and sorting and you haven't SOLD yet!

Next month I am going to share some quick makeover ideas with you. I have also been asked to help with the interior design for the Tooheys Crew makeover on the Jamberoo RSL Hall.

The hall is set to receive a visit from the Tooheys New Crew, a team of tradesmen who donate time and materials to complete community projects with the help of local tradesmen and volunteers. In addition they will relocate a memorial arch to the park next door. They plan to paint the hall inside and out. Install a new kitchen and disabled ramp. They will also fix the front fence and do some landscaping

Jamberoo commemorates Anzac Day on the Sunday before Anzac Day.  The challenge with take place on the three days before this.

You may see some promos of the intended makeover on Channel 9 Footy Show on Thursday nights.

I look forward to helping the Tooheys Crew and I will keep you posted throughout the month.

Show the way

Re arrange your furniture so that it doesn't block your views or movement throughout the room. The room will appear bigger and the floor plan will flow easier. A rug adds another layer to your room design and visually ties all it's different decorative elements together

                                                          WOW, I love the red

Preparing your bedroom for the photographer

I am always skeptical about publishing pictures of bedrooms. Quiet often all that tends to be in the picture is the bed. If you have plenty of room to move about in your bedroom the photographs will look much better than those of a very small bedroom.
In saying that, some quick tips to get your bedroom ready for the photographer

Make sure your linen is clean
All the sheets and blankets are tucked in properly
Your doona or quilt must sit evenly on the bed
Play around with the cushions and pillows so that they present at there best
Clear all clutter from bedside tables and dressing tables
Add some pretty flowers to the dressing table
Light some candles to soften the room
Please remove any nudie shots from the walls. Yes I did say nudie and yes people do leave them there for all to see! Not a good look at all.
Keep walls fairly uncluttered
Remove any clutter that can be seen from under the bed and surrounding areas
Turn the bedside lamps on
Freshen up dull linen with some cheap colourful cushions and maybe a throw rug
If you have mirror robes, clean the glass
Take a look at your window furnishings, will they present well in the picture

                                                                Smaller bedroom

                                             Omg.... what a bedroom

                                  Greet the sun

                       Rise before the dawn
Find a vantage point with a wide vista
Wait for the first warming rays
              Feel their strength,their vitality
Observe the world as it wakes around you
                           Feel the renewal

Quick tips for preparing the exterior of your home, for the photographer

It's interesting how we all  interpret presentation. Last week I arrived a clients property with the photographer to spend the next 30 minutes getting the 4 rooms ready to be photographed. Mind you my gorgeous clients had spent more a whole day getting their home ready for the photographer.

See below some quick tips for the exterior of your property:

Front & rear lawns mowed and weeded
Edges trimmed
Trim any over grown trees and shrubs
Remove any rubbish that's lying around. Old pot plants, unused toys etc.
If you have a pool, please make sure it is clean.
Remove pool cleaning apparatus out of sight
Get rid of the cobwebs
Clean your windows
Make sure your blinds and curtains are clean and present well from the exterior of the property.
Do any necessary paint touch ups. How about a bright red front door?
Clean and freshen up the veranda.
Make sure all door hardware is in good working order. You don't want your knob to fall off do you!
If time permits add some colour flowers they will instantly brighten up your garden.
Why not put 2 pots either side of your front door. Instant wow!

Next week, we  will talk about quick tips for preparing the interior of your home

Free photography

When talking to my clients about professional photography I always stress the importance of it, especially on the websites, signboards and window displays. It's really paramount to have great photography. If the pictures look unprofessional or dodgy, we find that buyers instantly form an opinion of the property before they have even stepped inside your home. $100 worth of professional photography can make all the difference to the final sales price of your home. List with me this month and I will pay for your professional photographs. "Because I want to help you make a move"

I really want a bean bag

Before the photographer arrives

When one of my clients is preparing their home for the the professional photographer, I urge them to get rid of the clutter. I  like to have a walk through with the client prior to the photography and talk with them about what needs to be done to prepare the home for the photographs. Nothing worse than arriving with the photographer to find dirty tea towels hanging on the stove and the kitchen table covered in junk. You would be surprised at how many time that has happened! We have to de clutter and present the property to it's best ability.

Notice the cloth hanging over the sink

                                                  This does my head in

" You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never be hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, And live like it's heaven on earth"

I am inspired by finding creative ways to display a property to it's maximum potential. After all if your photographs look fantastic, they will help your property sell quicker. The photos are a marketing tool, and we don't want them to show any negatives."Our Ray White website will in most cases be our buyers first introduction to your property and I can assure you that I am not going to put you into cyber space without your make up on. Your property must be made up and ready for it's photo opportunity." This month I will be focusing on what to do before the photographer arrives and the benefits of professional photography and the difference that it can make to your property.
